What to Expect

When you visit our church you’ll be greeted by a a dedicated, diverse, and devout community of Christians. We come from many backgrounds and have all types of jobs, careers, and vocations. But we are united in our Spirit-empowered love of Jesus Christ, devotion to the Word of God, and service to humanity in His name locally and globally.

You’ll enjoy a lively and spiritual service in one of western North Carolina’s most comfortable sanctuaries. We believe in praising God in music, prayer and study of His word.

Care is taken not to put guests “on the spot” or to embarrass them in any way. There is a desire for guests to feel welcomed without feeling “singled out.”

We love people – and we love to make new friends. We would love to meet you, to hear your story, and to help you discover your own spiritual gifts. We would be honored if you would consider becoming part of this active, dynamic body of believers!

Guests are encouraged to fill out the blue Visitor Information Cards, located in the back of each pew. First Baptist Church Morganton is a warm and loving Christian fellowship. By lingering a little after the worship experience, you will give members and ministers an opportunity to show that to you.

Where to Park

First Baptist Church Morganton is located near the downtown area on historic West Union Street. Parking is available in two main lots (East and West) and two smaller paved areas behind the church. Handicapped spaces are provided in the two main lots.
